On January 26th, Gogoa Mobility Robots, a leading company in biomedical exoskeletons, inaugurated Movex Living Lab, the first living lab for motor neurorehabilitation: an innovative research and clinical trials center that aims to find new treatments and therapies for neurorehabilitation in diseases and injuries that affect people’s motor skills.
Movex living lab is part of the OSASUNBERRI initiative, where the main objective is to build a close, efficient and integral health sector, based on the km 0 philosophy, and to develop an advanced health care system in the Basque community. OSASUNBERRI, a project supported by the Basque Government, aims to strengthen, together with the collaboration of the Basque Health Cluster, the KM0 health system and to be prepared for the challenges of the future, having its own resources with which to face these challenges. Therefore, since 2020, a consortium formed by 27 entities has come together to revitalize the health sector, work collaboratively to overcome the limitations of addressing the challenges individually, be more competitive, develop new products and services, as well as create wealth and jobs around this relevant sector.
Gogoa Mobility Robots is one of those 27 entities working every day for a better future. Specifically, Gogoa is part of the OSASUNTHERAPY area, which addresses the application of different therapies and focuses on the implementation of R&D capabilities necessary for the development of pharmaceutical and microbiological drugs, as well as the development of cellular or rehabilitative therapies.
Following this, we leave you the interview with Asier Albizu, president of the Basque Health Cluster and BIOLAN HEALTH, another of the entities participating in the OSASUNBERRI initiative, on the day of the inauguration of the Movex Living Lab.
