On March 6, Susana Solís Pérez, Member of European Parliament, the Committee for Regional Development (REGI) and vice-president of the Delegation for Relations with the Korean Peninsula, among other responsibilities, visited Viralgen‘s facilities.
Ms. Solís appreciated the great work being carried out by the company, both at the scientific and human level. She was impressed by the work on Women’s Rights and Gender Equality being carried out at Viralgen, where 68% of the professionals are women, several of them occupying senior positions.
The tour began in the entrance lobby, where she was drawn to Viralgen’s message of hope to the world and the sculptures exhibited there by the sculptor from San Sebastian, Anton Mendizabal. Afterwards, she visited the different departments and laboratories in the new facilities.
She was made aware of Viralgen’s history, its founding purpose, its outstanding role at international level in the development of gene therapy and also, Gipuzkoa was highlighted as an international biotechnological hub.
