Liof Pharma, a cutting-edge CDMO (Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization) both regionally and globally within the Basque biotechnology industry, is currently in an active expansion phase.
Focus on Innovation and Diversification
This visit was an opportunity to share the Liof Pharma project with representatives of regional politics. In recent years, Liof Pharma has undergone significant evolution that has redefined its position in the biotechnology market. With a focus on innovation and diversification, they have improved their storage capabilities by expanding their cold rooms and implementing new technologies to enhance equipment flexibility, thereby expanding their manufacturing offerings.
Liof Pharma is dedicated to the manufacture of sterile medicines in vial format for injectables or ophthalmic-type plastic bottles. They produce batches for third-party companies in the pharmaceutical and biotechnological research sectors that are in the research phase. These batches are intended for use in phase I and II clinical studies, as well as high-value medicines intended for the treatment of rare diseases in both humans and animals.
International Regulatory Standard
The progress they have made within the international regulatory standard, the ability to diversify technologies, and the projection of economic growth have enabled Liof Pharma to provide comprehensive and systemic technological solutions for effective and sustainable productions, generating a positive impact on human and veterinary health.
