TAAV Biomanufacturing Solutions S.L.U., a wholly owned subsidiary of Asklepios Biopharmaceuticals (AskBio) and Bayer AG, today unveils a new brand that supports the company’s transformation and purpose. The strategy aims to become the DNA manufacturing partner of choice for companies developing recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV) technologies and to become a key part of the gene therapy industry.

TAAV has carved a niche in the global gene therapy market through the enzymatic DNA it manufactures and offers to customers with rAAV projects at various stages from research to pre-clinical and clinical development. This story includes the first approval of enzyme material manufactured by TAAV for use in a clinical trial, which was approved in September 2022 by the French National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Medical Devices (ANSM) for a Phase 1/Phase 2 study.
This progress is an example of the company’s ability to adapt to new challenges and demands for alternatives to plasmid DNA production for clinical use. With key new collaborations and a broader presence, TAAV’s rebranding runs through the backbone of its offering with a new brand name for the enzymatic DNA it manufactures, now known as neDNA™.
