On 8 October the Basque Health Cluster was invited to a meeting in Lakua with the Regional Councillor for Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment, Arantxa Tapia, the Deputy Councillor for Technology, Innovation and Competitiveness, Estíbaliz Hernáez, and the Director for Industrial Development, Mikel Amundarain. The representatives for the Health Cluster were Chairman Mikel Alvarez, Deputy Chair Julio Font and Secretary/Treasurer Asier Albizu, alongside Basque Health Cluster Director María Pascual de Zulueta.
This working meeting examined critical development factors for businesses in this sector, such as financing, state system relations, and the need for partnerships with large companies in the industry. Additionally, as part of the Next Generation European Funds framework, the meeting looked at the opportunity to put forward cooperative seed projects articulated from our Cluster.
Both sides have agreed to work in favour of competitiveness in our sector.
