Lorena Cros is the new addition to Optimus3d. After finishing her medical degree, she completed a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and dedicated himself to research and technology development. At Optimus3d, she completed my master’s internship, where she designed, based on the segmentation of medical images, an endovascular stent prototype for the treatment of complex abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Now at the Gregorio Marañón hospital, her role will be to segment the biomodels and design together with the UPAM 3D team, taking into account the medical requirements. Optimus3d will custom manufacture both the biomodels and the implants, which will later be used in surgical interventions at Gregorio Marañon.
