On May 30, the HEALCIER project will end with a day organized at ESTIA’s facilities. The event, which can be attended both in person and online, will start at 11 am and end at 12:30 pm.
The HEALCIER Project
The healthcare sector uses large amounts of resources in its daily healthcare practice, taking on the challenge of managing them in the most effective, efficient and ecological way possible. At the same time, the aging of the population in recent decades is causing hospitals and healthcare centers to take on a greater volume of healthcare activity. To ensure the sustainability of the system, an urgent and profound reflection on the healthcare environment is required.
In this context, the HEALCIER project, under the Interreg POCTEFA framework, aims to improve the competitiveness of the healthcare value chain by implementing the principles of the circular economy.
This project led by Leartibai Fundazioa involves entities from New Aquitaine, Navarre and the Basque Country:
- Leartibai Fundazioa
- Navarrabiomed
- Biocruces Bizkaia Health Research Institute Association.
- AIN (Navarre Industry Association)
- Estia École Supérieure des Technologies Industrielles Avancées (Pyrénées-Atlantiques)
- University Hospital of Navarre
- OSI Ezkerraldea Enkarterri Cruces
During the final day of the HEALCIER project, attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the opportunities identified to advance circularity in healthcare centers.
