Golden Gait Biotech of San Sebastian is developing a small molecule drug to reduce falls and Freezing of Gait (FOG) suffered by Parkinson’s disease patients. These are serious health problems that limit the patient’s daily life and can cause death (10% of falls resulting in broken bones are fatal). Currently, no drug exists, which means that these are unmet medical conditions, so our drug would be the first of its kind.
