In recent years, thousands of citizens in their capacity as patients or relatives of patients who share interests, needs and challenges have come together around their respective diseases or disorders to create associations that represent them, Associations are essential instruments for improving the quality of life of patients. The existence of these associations has allowed different healthcare agents, such as the pharmaceutical industry, to establish a fluid relationship with the patient collective. The Spanish Association of Primary Immune Deficits, AEDIP, led by Carlos Jimenez Contreras, is one of the most dynamic and motivated patient associations in the search for alliances to generate solutions to the multiple problems associated with this group of diseases.
Basque Health Cluster is aware of the importance of establishing meeting spaces with patient associations and therefore develops actions of collaboration and dynamization between patient associations to bring their needs closer to the companies, generating market opportunities.
