This research centre is based in San Sebastian and studies different areas of nanoscience. Specifically for the health sector, it is working on monitoring systems for applications in the fields of cancer, Alzheimer’s and perinatal asphyxia during childbirth. It also has commercial equipment for detecting COVID-19 (blusense) and equipment for the ad-hoc manufacture of scaffolds for biotechnological applications (novaspider), both with integrated technology patented at the centre. Another area of expertise is the design and production of enzymes for gene therapy (CRISPR).
