DESCRIPTION
The Basque Foundation for Health Innovation and Research, BIOEF, is the instrument created by the Department of Health to promote innovation and research in the Basque Country. BIOEF acts as corporate head of the research institutes of the Basque Public Health System (Bioaraba, Biocruces Bizkaia, Biodonostia and Kronikgune), carrying out coordination and support tasks to the institutes in their R+D+i activities. Among the objectives of the foundation also include the promotion of collaboration and coordination of R&D initiatives with the business sector and knowledge agents for the development and validation of healthcare health technologies developed by the latter.
