On 14 January the Basque Health Cluster met with the Regional Councillor for Health, Gotzone Sagardui. The representatives for the Health Cluster were President Mikel Alvarez, Vicepresident Julio Font and Secretary/Treasurer Asier Albizu, alongside Basque Health Cluster Managing Director María Pascual de Zulueta.
This working meeting examined critical development factors for businesses in this sector, such as state system relations with the Basque Health System. Via the Cluster we expressed to the Councillor the importance of collaboration from both sides, as well as the bureaucratic difficulties that industry companies find when attempting to strike up such partnerships. In order to promote the competitiveness of the Bio-Health sector, it was proposed that mixed committees be set up.
We also took the chance to invite the Regional Health Department to play an active role in the Basque Health Cluster.
